Belgian Residents in Plastic Surgery (BRPS) is founded by and for trainees in plastic surgery. BRPS represents the interests of all Belgian residents in training to become a plastic surgeon. We are an inter-university organisation wishing to bring together all Belgian residents in plastic surgery. All Belgian universities provide one resident on the board of the BRPS, giving all residents in Belgium in a direct way -through their own representative- the chance to raise things in the association. Thus BRPS can contribute to the creation of an uniform education environment.

BRPS contributes in various ways to an optimal training environment for Belgian trainees in plastic surgery, therefore we:

• are creating a direct point of contact with RBSPS (Royal Belgian Society of Plastic Surgeons), the EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons) and many Belgian and European trainers.
• are a critical follower of the organisation of the CCP (Collegicum Chirurgicum Plasticum) teaching days, and the assessment of the yearly examinations.
• organise an introduction weekend every year. During this relaxing social event, the residents of all plastic faculties get the opportunity to know each other better.
• organise very practical training days. The subject of that day varies from filler injection techniques, learning how to place a breast prosthesis, to microsurgery courses.

So, all residents in plastic surgery are more than welcome to join BRPS and strengthening their practical skills and their inter-university contacts!
